In my paintings I attempt to capture a deeply felt sense of place; to capture that special moment when light, form and colour come together and play against each other in a memorable way.
Light, mixed with a drop of magic, is everything. When a painting contains some inexplicable magic it lives, otherwise it is dead to me and to the observer.
Cornwall is a special place. It provides such visual diversity that both challenges and inspires. Cornwall weaves it's own magic through it's history, legends and folk lore.
